What is Digimang?

Digimang is the name of MECOPP’s digital support programme.

What do we mean when we say Digimang?

Digi = Digital

Mang = The Cant word for talk/speak

Digimang = Let’s talk about digital.

Our aim is to support communities to build their digital confidence, skills, knowledge and capacity to engage in and benefit from the digital world.  The work was originally developed to support the Gypsy/Traveller community in Scotland, hence DigiMang, but it is of relevance to anyone wanting to improve their digital know-how.

Digimang is an online resource offering the following:

  • Device guides (MiFi unit / Chromebook / iPad)

  • Quick guides on how to use applications

  • FAQ’s and submit your questions page

  • Internet safety resources

  • Technology guides for further learning

  • Online learning via Google Classrooms.

We may also be able to offer one to one learning.
